The Challenge - Choosing a Career

Identifying a career path requires at least three elements: the right data, intentional self exploration and appropriate planning.

Individuals with no career plan “settle” for disappointing work experiences or acquiesce to the low expectations of others. The end result could be lack of professional instability, career disillusionment and workplace withdrawal.

The TCB Solution…

We coach individuals in exploring their personal values, attitudes, beliefs and innate skill sets. Participants gain a professional “edge” by identifying career paths based on cognitive mapping and their natural strong suits. A few success measures of TCB workshops include:

• Discovery (or re-discovery) of the skills that come easily and bring the most joy (ex. organization, problem-solving, creative processes, etc.)

• Exploring career paths research says will likely be most fulfilling based on personal *assessments

• Stressor analysis and how they relate to career and job choice

• A career plan to identify attainable and measurable goals (educational requirements, human resources forecasts, etc.)

In addition to the above, participants may also engage in enhanced job readiness modules. Some of the activities offered include: job interview etiquette, resumé creation and career development exercises. It’s exciting! They narrow career interests while constructing a plan towards lifetime achievement.
